Grinding Gears:
The quantity of shims required to tighten up the play between the
main gear and pinion gear varies by each individual reel.
Some reels will not require the use of any shims, while other reels may
require the use of up to three shims to achieve the desired result.
The shims used on the 8-500CV main gear are part number 8A-2000CV.
See "Related Products" below to order the correct shims.
Please Take Note:
There is an error on the Captiva 500CV schematic.
The 8A-500CV shim's inside diameter is too small to fit the 8-500CV main gear.
Please use the recommended 8A-2000CV shims for this application.
